Mary Lois Helton

Mrs. Mary Lois Helton, age 80 of Gainesville, passed away Friday, August 24, 2012 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center following an extended illness.

Funeral services are scheduled for Monday, August 27, 2012 at 12:30pm in the Chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home with the Reverend James Dumas officiating. Interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Sunday, August 26, 2012 from 2:00-4:00pm and 6:00-8:00pm at the funeral home.

Mrs. Helton was born on September 15, 1931 in Gainesville, GA to the late Frank and Ola Beck Crane. She was a homemaker and a member of Browns Bridge Church of God. She is preceded in death by her parents her husband, Ben Helton and her brother, Charles Crane.

Mrs. Helton is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Sandra and Douglas Allison of Gainesville; son and daughter-in-law, Benjamin, Jr. and Lisa Helton of Gainesville; son and daughter-in-law, Douglas W. and Donna Helton of Clermont; brother, Howard Crane of Braselton; sister, Dorothy Carney of Danielsville, GA; brother and sister-in-law, Billy and Mae Belle Crane of Dahlonega; sister, Donice Howard of Pheonix, AZ; sister and brother-in-law, Pat and Maurice Montgomery of Cleveland, GA; granddaughter and husband, Sandy and James Garrett; grandson and wife, William and Emily Allison; grandson, Noah Allison; granddaughter and husband, Jessica and Necoma Grindle; grandson, Benjamin Helton III, granddaughter, Shannon Helton and 13 great-grandchildren.
