Sharon Fisher Mayville

Sharon Fisher Mayville died unexpectedly on Monday, August 20, 2012.

Sharon was born in Buffalo, New York. She was married to her husband, Paul, for 51 years. She is survived by husband, Paul, brother, Verne, four children; Paul, Jr., Christina, Michael, Lorelei and seven grandchildren; Hannah, James, Paul, Josephine, Delia, Daria, and Daphne.



She was a dedicated wife, mother, grandmother, and homemaker. She gave up a career and college for marriage and a family. She was an avid reader and realized her dream of a college education by earning a BA from Reinhardt College in 1999. She was salutatorian for her class and gave a graduation ceremony speech. She loved reading and scholarly activities.



Sharon was of Irish descent. She loved Ireland, its people, culture and history. She accumulated many books on Ireland and made many trips there. She had many relatives and friends in Ireland and corresponded with them regularly.



She had many interests, talents, and hobbies. Sharon was an accomplished seamstress and learned spinning and weaving. She loved collecting pottery and had extensive collections of Hummels and Nicholas Moss creations. She loved dolls and doll houses and collected items of both over the years.



Her favorite charity was Angel Covers, which supports children in orphanages around the world. (www.angelcovers.org,) Sharon loved children and wanted to support as many children in orphanages that she could. In lieu of flowers, please consider making donations to this organization.



A graveside service will be held at 10:00 AM Friday morning, August 24, 2012 at Sawnee View Memorial Gardens in Cumming GA.
