Charlie Littleton Smallwood

Ivie Funeral Home, Commerce, announces services for Charlie Littleton Smallwood, 81, of Commerce who passed away at his residence early Tuesday morning after an extended illness.

Born in Commerce, he was the son of the late James Daniel and Minnie Burns Smallwood and was married to Maria White Smallwood of the residence. Other survivors include a son, Terry Dean Smallwood of Nicholson, a grandson, Terry Chase Smallwood of Jefferson and a brother, J.D. "Bill" Smallwood of Greenville, SC. Special recognition of thanks is also extended to special friends Richard Brake and Bradley of Commerce who have been so helpful to the family during the time of Charlie's illness.

Funeral services are scheduled for Thursday at 11 AM from the chapel of Ivie Funeral Home with Tully Westmoreland officiating. Interment will follow in the Grey Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday evening from 6-8 PM. Mr. Smallwood was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force having served in the Korean conflict.
