Alviree Bell "Cricket" Martin Fields

Evans Funeral Home announces the death of Mrs. Alviree Bell "Cricket" Martin Fields, 80, of Jefferson, GA, who passed away on Saturday, August 18, 2012. Mrs. Fields was born in Jefferson, Georgia the daughter of the late Hugh and Nellie Turpin Martin, was a member of Gospel Tabernacle and retired from Jefferson City School System as a Food Service Provider. Mrs. Fields is preceded in death by her husband, Jewell S. Fields, great grandchildren, Abby and Bradley, brothers, Bill and Charles Martin and sister, Lily Mae Grindle.

Survivors include two sons, Jerry and Johnny Fields of Jefferson, daughter, Shirley Pethel of Jefferson. Two sisters, Eliree Patterson of Gillsville, Isabell Pressley of Maysville, two brothers, Hugh Martin of Jefferson, Boyd Martin of Athens, eight grandchildren and seventeen great grandchildrean.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 A.M. Monday, August 20, 2012, in the Chapel of Evans Funeral Home with Reverend Mark Spence officiating with burial to follow in the Talmo Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the Funeral Home on Sunday, August 19, 2012, 4-9 P.M.
