David Paul Simonds

Mr. David Paul Simonds, 76 of Braselton died Friday August 17, 2012 at the Northridge Health Center in Commerce.

Born in Dawson County, Mr. Simonds was the son of the late Paul and Bennie Simonds. He had lived in Hall County for most of his life before moving to Jackson County after he retired. Mr. Simonds was retired from Deep South/Winn Dixie where he worked in the Maintenance Department. He is preceded in death by a sister, Eloise Rector.

Survivors include his wife; Mary Lou Simonds, Braselton; daughters and husbands, Teresa Grobe and John, Beverly Shoemake and Jackie Petrisko and George, all of Braselton; sons and wife, Douglas Simonds and Teresa, Maysville; Danny Simonds, Gainesville. brother, Bobby Simonds, Toccoa; sisters, Mavis Davis, Toccoa and Betty Parker, Gainesville. 10 Grandchildren, 14 Great Grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday August 19, 2012 in the Little & Davenport Funeral Home Chapel. Dr. Kenneth Barrett will officiate. Interment will follow in the Hillside Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Saturday August 18, 2012 from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.
