John (Bart) Gaither

Ivie Funeral Home, Commerce, announces services for John (Bart) Gaither, Jr., 79, of Commerce who passed away at the Northridge Med. Ctr. on Tuesday.

Born in Banks County, he was the son of the late John Henry Gaither, Sr. and the late Lillian Gillespie Gaither. He was also preceded in death by siblings, Willie Gaither, Charlie Gaither, Demorest Gaither, Jewel Gaither, Eurice Gaither, Lucy Gillespie, and Georgia Ruth Morris. Survivors include his wife, Hazel Burns Gaither, of the residence; son, Terrell Beasley of Danielsville; daughter, Ann Beasley of Commerce; step-daughter, Julie Ann Ensong of Gainesville; sisters, Dorine Faulkner of Homer and Lillie Wilhite of Commerce; 3 grandchildren; close friend, Charlie Joe Gillespie.

Funeral services are scheduled for Saturday at 1 PM from Neals Grove with Rev. Johnny Smith officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday evening from 7-8 PM.
