Wesley Fairchild

Wesley Fairchild, age 87 of Gainesville, passed away on Monday, August 13, 2012 at Morningside Assisted Living following an extended illness.


Memorial services are scheduled for Saturday, August 18, 2012 at 12:00 noon in the Chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home. Reverend Danny Jones will officiate. The family will receive friends on Saturday, August 18, 2012 from 11:00 am till 12:00 noon, prior to the service at the funeral home.


Mr. Fairchild was born October 7, 1924 in Neptune, New Jersey to the late Theodore Washington Fairchild and Gertrude VanNest Fairchild. He served in the U. S. Army and retired from Custom Line. Wesley was a member of Northlake Baptist Church and was preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Nan Caroline Bayer Fairchild.


Mr. Fairchild is survived by his daughter, Wendy DeMercer of Gainesville, son & daughter-in-law, Todd W. & Amy Fairchild of Howell, New Jersey, grandchildren, Dennis & Karen DeMercer of Washington State, Victor, Patrick, Charlotte and Mary, all of Howell, New Jersey, 4 great-grandchildren, Eliot, Baxter, Haddon, all of Washington State and Samantha of Howell, New Jersey, 2 honorary daughters, Debbie & Gina of Gainesville, 2 honorary grandchildren, Eric and Tommy of Gainesville.


In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Northlake Baptist Church, Building Fund, 4823 Thompson Bridge Road, Gainesville, GA 30506.
