Lois Evans

Lois Evans, 64, of Dawsonville passed away Friday August 10, 2012 at her residence following a period of declining health.

Born June 24, 1948 to the late Charles Junior and Mary Emma Gooch, she lived most of her life in the Dawson and Lumpkin County area. Lois worked as a cosmetologist for over 40 years and retired from Platinum Scissors. She attended The Church at War Hill and was also preceded in death by her brothers, Ray Gooch and Timmy Gooch.

Surviving are her children, Trampis Evans, Dawsonville, Dawn Evans, Cumming; sisters, Edna Collins, Dawsonville, Vinita Head, Gainesville, Annette Reynolds, Ball Ground, Charlene Collins, Dahlonega, Meshell Stokes, Dahlonega, Cindy Gooch, Dawsonville, Melinda Carlisle, Jasper; brothers, Loy Gooch, Cleveland, Stanley Gooch, Dahlonega, Michael Gooch, Ellijay, Sam Gooch, Dawsonville, Randy Gooch, Gainesville; grandchildren, Michael Ramirez, Samantha Shubert, Elizabeth Evans, Delsin Shirley; and a number of other relatives.

At her request Lois was cremated and memorial services will be held later.
