King Dewey Cobb

Mr. King Dewey Cobb, age 85, of Martin , died Monday, August 13, 2012 at Stephens County Hospital.

Born April 18, 1927 in Carnesville, Ga., he was a son of the late Tillman Samuel and Martha Bell Cobb.

He was a member of Tates Creek Baptist Church and was retired from Cobb's Roofing.

Family members include his daughter and son-in-law, Peggy and Tim Findley of Martin; a sister and brother-in-law, Mary Nell and John Ivester; brother and sister-in-law, Kenneth and Brenda Cobb, and brother Sam Cobb; and grandchildren, Ashley Ward, Kyle Findley, and Kevin Cobb.

He was preceded in death by his wife Betty N. Cobb; daughters, Becky Turner and Nancy Sharon Cobb; a son, Terry Allen Cobb; grandsons, Terry Allen Cobb, Jr. and Scott Allen Turner; a son-in-law, Paul Allen Turner; brothers, Fritz Cobb, Roy Lee Cobb, and Waymon Cobb; and a sister, Ruby Gomez.

Funeral services will be held at eleven o'clock , August 15, 2012 from the Chapel of Whitlock Mortuary with the Rev. Jerrell Beatty officiating. Burial will follow at Rock Creek Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the mortuary from 2 pm - 4 pm and 6 pm - 8 pm Tuesday, August 14, 2012.

Whitlock Mortuary will be in charge of the arrangements.
