Lillie Mae Brown Harris

Lillie Mae Brown Harris, age 92 of Flowery Branch, passed away Saturday, August 11, 2012 at her residence following an extended illness.

Funeral services are scheduled for Wednesday, August 15, 2012 at 2:00pm in the Chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home with the Rev. Scott Waters, Rev. Randall Sullens and Rev. Edmond Harris officiating. Interment will follow the service in Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends Monday, August 13, 2012 and Tuesday, August 14, 2012 from 7:00pm-9:00pm both nights at the funeral home.

Mrs. Harris was born July 12, 1920 in Hall County, Georgia to the late Homer and Jesse (Giles) Brown. She was a homemaker and a member of Victory Baptist Church. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, James Harris; son, James Edward Harris; sisters, Grace Jones and Louise Teal. Mrs. Harris loved her family and has left a Godly legacy. She was the oldest active member of Victory Baptist Church, where she served for 50 years.

Mrs. Harris is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Rosie Mae and Leonard Rider of Flowery Branch; son and daughter-in-law, Russel and Kathy Harris of Gainesville; son and daughter-in-law, Cecil and Dianne Harris of Pendergrass; son and daughter-in-law, Larry and Jan Harris of Murrayville; daughter and son-in-law, Geneva and L.G. Spencer of Dahlonega; daughter and son-in-law, Paula and Roger Jones of Flowery Branch; daughter, Jamie Wade of Gainesville; son and daughter-in-law, Grady and Teresa Harris of Flowery Branch; son and daughter-in-law, Denver and Kim Harris of Flowery Branch; 21 grandchildren, 31 great-grandchildren and 12 great-great-grand children.
