Billy C. Gilreath

Billy C. Gilreath, 81, of Albany, California passed away Wednesday August 8, 2012 at Summit Hospital in Oakland, CA following a short illness.

Mr. Gilreath was born June 18, 1931 in Dawson County to the late Oscar and Kate Gilreath. After serving in the U. S. Navy, he settled in Albany where he lived for 60 years. He retired from Bank of America after 37 years of service and was also preceded in death by his wife, Margaret Gilreath, and sister, Doris Fausett.

Surviving are his children, Linda and Joseph Gaeta, Albany, CA, Dennis and Susan Gilreath, Oakley, CA, Gil and Kimberly Gilreath, Hercules, CA; sister, Brenda Gilreath, Dawsonville; brother and sister in law, Wendell and Daisy Gilreath, Dawsonville; five grandchildren, four great grandchildren, and a number of other relatives.

Graveside services will be held Sunday August 12, 2012 at 3 o'clock at Dawsonville Memorial Gardens. Rev. Glenn Byrd will officiate.

The family will receive friends after the service at Calvary Baptist Church.
