Cole Bowen

Ivie Funeral Home, Commerce, announces services for Cole Bowen, 65, of Hull who passed away at his residence on Monday.

Born in Clarke County, he was the son of the late William Vernorn Bowen, Sr. and the late Fannie May Massey Bowern. He wa also predeceased by his wife, Dorothy Louise Cavin Bowen. Survivors include his children, Debbie Meline Ray of Nicholson, Martha Ann Black of Alto, Melinda Bowen of Alabama; siblings, Frank Bowern of SC, Jack Bowen of Hull, Frances Trotter of Royston, Juanita Swain of Homer, Margaret Kitchens of Commerce, Marie Canady of Commerce, Evelyn Meadows of Athens, Dolly Dalton of Royston and Ethel Brock of Danielsville; 12 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; nieces and nephews.

Funeral services are scheduled for Friday at 1:30 PM from the chapel of Ivie Funeral Home with Rev. Leon Pass officiating after which the body will be cremated and the cremains interred in Kannapolis, NC. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday from 1 PM until the time of service.
