Richard Malone McKinley
Obituary Date: Saturday, August 4, 2012
Richard Malone McKinley of Cleveland entered into eternal life with our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on August 4, 2012, following an extended illness. He was 82.
Mr. McKinley was born on May 28, 1930 in Festus, Missouri and was preceded in death by his mother, Thelma Hayes, his father, Raymond McKinley and son-in-law, Wesley Hanks.
Mr. McKinley was a Veteran of the United States Army serving in the Korean War. He was a thrill-seeker most of his life, racing boats for Outboard Marine Corporation, Waukegan, Illinois. He set world records. Mr. McKinley flew a plane at the Cleveland Airport for his 80th birthday celebration and went skydiving for his 81st. He was a member of The Bridge Church. What a wild ride it's been.
Survivors of his immediate family include his, wife Rhea McKinley; daughters, Stephanie Hanks and Stacy McKinley; daughter and son-in-law, Amber and David Clark; son, Shane McKinley; grandchildren, Dezirae Hanks, Jamie Spurlock, Gunner Hanks, Jagger Hanks, Aleaha Mangum, Heaven Clark, Jaydin McKinley, Khloe Clark; great grandson, Elijah Hanks and numerous in-laws and friends also survive.
A Home-Going service is planned on Saturday, August 18, 2012 at 11:00 AM at The Bridge Church with Rev. Patrick Ballington officiating.
