Nellie Geraldine Millsaps

Mrs. Nellie Geraldine Millsaps, 76, of Dahlonega, died Aug. 6 at the Gold City Convalescent Center in Dahlonega.

Mrs. Millsaps was a native of Rockwood, Tenn., who lived in Lumpkin County for nearly 50 years. She was of the Baptist faith and worked at Dipper Dan's in Dahlonega for a number of years.

She was the daughter of the late Jess Riddles and Artie Sutton Riddles and was also preceded in death by her husband, Carl Millsaps and brothers, Arthur and Moe Riddles.

Mrs. Millsaps is survived by sons and daughters-in-law, Tommy and Donna Millsaps, Gainesville, and Charles and Kathy Millsaps, Dahlonega; daughters and son-in-law, Sheila Martin, Danielsville, and Lisa and Alan Hampel, Dahlonega; brother, Charles Riddles, Michigan; sister, Emma Riddles, Kentucky; and seven grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and a number of other relatives also survive.

Funeral services for Mrs. Millsaps are scheduled for 4 p.m. Aug. 9 at the Banister Funeral Home Chapel in Dahlonega.

Rev. Craig Sexton and Rev. Lyman Caldwell will officiate.

Interment will follow in the Antioch Baptist Church Cemetery in Dawson County.

The family will receive friends at Banister Funeral Home in Dahlonega from 5-9 p.m. Aug. 7, from 1-9 p.m. Aug. 8, and from 10 a.m. until time of service Aug. 9.
