Lizzie "Odell" Mozelle Strickland Gaton

Lizzie "Odell" Mozelle Strickland Gaton age 94 of Gainesville passed away Thursday, August 2, 2012 at her residence following an extended illness.



Mrs. Gaton was born June 5, 1918 in Gainesville to the late Matt & Salley E. Gunter Strickland. She was retired from Gainesville Mill and was a member of Temple Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, William B. Gaton.



Survivors include, Daughters, Mary Burge of Gainesville, Joy Huggins of Gainesville, Barbara Mauldin of Jefferson, Janet Reed of Jefferson, Peggy Skirvin of Gainesville, sister, Lula Belle Sisk of Gainesville, 8 Grandchildren a number of great and great great grandchildren survive.



Memorial services will be 5:00 p.m. Sunday August 5, 2012 at the Memorial Park Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Bill Nunneley officiating. The family will receive friends from 3-5 Sunday Aug. 5, 2012 at the funeral home.
