Ralph Eugene Crump

Ralph Eugene Crump, age 63 of Gainesville, passed away on Wednesday, August 1, 2012 at McLeod Regional Medical Center following an extended illness.

Private memorial services are scheduled for Saturday, August 4, 2012. Those who wish to attend may contact the family for more information.

Mr. Crump was born June 14, 1949 in Macon, Georgia to the late Ralph Crump and Evelyn Lucille Moulton Crump. He served in the Air Force during the Vietnam War and was retired from Assurant Insurance Company as a Data Base Manager. Ralph loved fishing and got great pleasure from being a "father" to many children. He was a Scout Master and loved dressing up as Santa for Christmas, giving gifts to needy children and feeding many children Thanksgiving Dinner.

Mr. Crump is survived by his wife, Mariellen Crump of Gainesville, daughter, Dawn Harris of Mineral Bluff, Georgia, son, J. J. Crump and Victoria Wray of Buford, son & daughter-in-law, Jason & Margaret Crump of Gainesville, grandsons, Taylor Harris, Jack Crump, Oliver Wray and Daniel Wray granddaughters, Morgan Crump, Ainsley Harris, Payton Wray and Delana Crump, beloved aunt, Johnie Hulsey, sister & brother-in-law, Linda & Van Williams of Macon, and a number of nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
