Donald D. Moose

Donald D. "Don" Moose, age 61, of Dahlonega, GA, died July 29, 2012.

Don was a native and lifelong resident of Lumpkin County. He was as a retired construction worker and also worked several years at the Lumpkin County Senior Center. Don was a U.S. Army Vietnam Veteran. He was of the Baptist faith.

Don was the son of the late James Moose and Eva Barrett Robinson and was also preceded in death by his stepfather, Ed Robinson.

.Don is survived by sisters and brother-in-law, Linda and Robert Cane, and Sherry Robinson, all of Dahlonega; brothers and sister-in-law, Curtis and Linda Moose, Murrayville, GA, Gary Robinson and Greg Robinson, both of Dahlonega. .Numerous other relatives also survive.


Mr. Moose was cremated.

A memorial service is scheduled for 11 AM Thursday, August 2, 2012 at 11 AM at the Banister Funeral Home Chapel in Dahlonega.

Rev. Lyman Caldwell will officiate.

Following the memorial service there will be a graveside service for the burial of the cremains at Yahoola Baptist Church Cemetery in Lumpkin County.

Military honors will be provided by the Veterans Alliance Honor Guard.

The family will receive friends at Banister Funeral Home in Dahlonega on Wednesday, August 1, 2012 from 5 PM until 9 PM.
