Bonnie Sue Sullivan Hill

Bonnie Sue Sullivan Hill age 92 died July 27, 2012 at St. Mary's Hospital.

Mrs. Hill was the daughter of the late Reuben Lee Sullivan and Daisy Lee Brawner. She graduated from Banks County High School and the University of Georgia. She married Early Eugene Hill, an Air Force pilot and enjoyed 20 years of travel overseas and stateside. She was a retired school teacher.

Mrs. Hill moved back to Homer in 1982 and became active in the Homer United Methodist Church. She was also a member of the Banks County Historical Society, Chamber of Commerce, CVB, Farm Bureau, and the local AARP. She instigated the restoration of the old Banks County High School building into the Herbert Garrison Civic Center, which she managed for 17 years. She was given many honors and awards for her civic and community work including Citizen of the year and Grand Marshall of the Fall Festival Parade.

Mrs. Hill is survived by her son, Jerry E. Hill of Jefferson; daughter, Vicki Hill Robinson of Phoenix, AZ; son, Walter Lee Hill of Lawrenceville; four grandsons, two great granddaughters, and two nephews.

Funeral service will be Sunday, July 29 at 3:00 PM from the Homer United Methodist Church with the Rev. Jim McLendon officiating with the interment following in the Hill Family Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Saturday night from 5-7 PM.
