Frances Kendrix

Frances Kendrix, 76, of Dawsonville passed away Tuesday July 24, 2012 at her residence following a period of declining health.

Born April 1, 1936 to the late Dave and Elizer Kimbral, she spent most of her life in Dawson County. Mrs. Kendrix was employed at Tyson for many years after which she worked at Cumming Nursing Center for 25 years until her retirement. She attended Settingdown Baptist Church and was known for her hard working spirit and loving character. She was also preceded in death by her husbands, Hayne Stowers and Gene Kendrix; sisters, Pearl, Blanche, Christine; and brothers, Slim, Chesley, and Kimsey.

Surviving are her companion of 21 years, CJ Purcell, Dawsonville; daughter, Tina Shirley, Dawsonville; sons and daughters in law, Carl and Rhonda Stowers, Dawsonville, David and Joann Stowers, Dawsonville, Ralph and Pam Stowers, Jasper, Jack and Jenny Kendrix, Suches, Tony Kendrix, Dawsonville; sisters and brothers in law, Brenda Thompson, Cumming, Martha Moulder, Cumming, Irene and Eugene Higgins, Dawsonville; brothers, Shorty Kimbral, Cumming, Leonard Kimbral, Ball Ground; 14 Grandchildren; 21 Great Grandchildren.

Funeral Services will be held Friday July 27, 2012 at Settingdown Baptist Church at 11 o'clock. Rev. Tony Estes will officiate. Interment will follow in Harmony Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends after 12 o'clock Wednesday and all day Thursday at the funeral home.
