William E. Norrell

Mr. William E. "Billy" Norrell, 77 of Gainesville died Sunday July 22, 2012 at his residence.

A lifelong resident of Hall County, Mr. Norrell was the son of the late Grover and Ophelia Cross Norrell. He was employed as a truck driver and served in the United States Navy during the Korean War. Mr. Norrell was a member of the Mountain View Baptist Church.

Survivors include his ex-wife, Evelyn Norrell, Gainesville; daughters and sons-in-law; Marie and Jerry Mincey, Dahlonega; Michelle and Scott McKechnie, Blairsville; Danita and C.J. McNees, Gainesville; daughter, Danette Adamson, Gainesville; son and daughter-in-law; Daniel and Mary Norrell, Gainesville; sister and brother-in-law; Mary Ann and Ben Brock, Gainesville. 15 Grandchildren 9 Great Grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews also survive.

Mr. Norrell is preceded in death by a sister and brother-in-law; Evelyn and Herbert Bagwell and great granddaughter Tana Marie Ramano.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday July 25, 2012 in the Little & Davenport Funeral Home Chapel. Scott McKechnie will officiate. Interment to follow in the Memorial Park Cemetery with full military honors. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Monday July 23, 2012 from 6-9 p.m. and Tuesday July 24, 2012 from 10 a.m. until 9 p.m.
