Mr. James Agbert Phagan age 75 of Gainesville passed away on Saturday July 21, 2012 at Bell Minor Nursing Home following an extended illness.
Funeral Services are scheduled for Monday July 23, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Memorial Park Funeral home with interment to follow in Alta Vista Cemetery. Reverend Alan Passmore and Reverend Danny Kastner will officiate. The family will receive friends on Sunday July 22, 2012 from 2:00-4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m.at the funeral home.
Mr. Phagan was born on June 19, 1937 in Gainesville, Georgia to the late Aaron Thorton and Ruby Jane Bell Phagan. Mr. Phagan was of the Baptist faith. He was preceded in death by his son, Tony Phagan, brothers, Aaron Phagan Jr. & Ray Phagan
Mr. Phagan is survived by his wife of 52 years, Oneda Phagan of Gainesville, daughter, Rebecca Phagan of Gainesville, son and daughter-in-law, Ron and Wendi Phagan of Gainesville, daughter and son-in-law, Regina and Corey Wainer of Flowery Branch, son and daughter-in-law, Randy and Amanda Phagan of Oakwood, son and daughter-in-law, Roger and Maria Phagan of Gainesville, daughter, Rita Phagan of Gainesville, grandchildren, Anthony Phagan, Andrew Phagan, Chase Phagan, Caleb Phagan, Ashlee Phagan, Tyler Phagan, Emily Phagan, Jakeb Phagan, Devon Wainer, Sierra Wainer, Luke Phagan, and Matthew Phagan all of Gainesville, great granddaughter, Destonie Phagan of Dahlonega, sister & brother in law, Mozelle & Rick Trotter of Gainesville, sisters in law, Margie Phagan of Commerce, & Betty Phagan of Lula, lifelong friend and adopted member of the family, Jean Holbrooks of Gainesville.
