Clara Frances Wood Hill

Mrs. Clara Frances Wood Hill, age 80 of Commerce died Sunday, July 15, 2012 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center.

Mrs. Hill was born in Commerce to the late, R.J. and Cleo Elizabeth Nicholson Wood. She was a member of Homer United Methodist Church and was retired bookkeeper for Rich's. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Hill was preceded in death by her husband, Charles O. Hill; son, Lee Hill; brothers, Robert, James, Tommy, and Alvin Wood.


Mrs. Hill is survived by her grandchildren, Brandon, Taylor, Lauren, and Caitlin Hill; great grandson, Tucker Lee Hill; sisters, Judy Prickett and Edna Brown both of Commerce, Dena Bolton of Hoschton, and Betty Taylor of Douglas.

Funeral service will be Wednesday, July 18 at 2:00 PM from Homer United Methodist Church with Rev. Jim McLendon, Rev. James Turpin, and Rev. Wade Lott officiating and the interment following at New Salem United Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Homer United Methodist Church on Wednesday from 1-2 PM.
