Marvin Edward 'Slim' Erwin

Marvin Edward "Slim" Erwin, age 78, of Clarkesville passed away Monday July 9, 2012 at his residence.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, July 11, 2012 at 3:00 PM from the Unity Baptist Church. Rev. Mark Stroud will officiate with interment to follow the service in the church cemetery.
Born in Habersham County on July 28, 1933, Mr. Erwin was the son of the late William P. and Grace Elizabeth Reed Erwin. Mr. Erwin was the previous owner of the Early Sundown Campground and he was a bus driver for Habersham County Schools. He was a United States Army Veteran having served during the Korean Conflict. In addition to his parents, Mr. Erwin is preceded in death by a sister Ann Altice and brothers William Erwin and Wallace Erwin.
Survivors include daughters Barbara Duff of Clarkesville, Luciana Allen of Dahlonega, Laneah Clark of Toccoa, son Allen Erwin of Albuquerque, New Mexico, sisters Bonnie LeCompte of Plainfield, Indiana, Jolene Erwin of Clarkesville, Ruth White of Clermont, as well as six grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday, July 10, 2012 from 6:00 PM until 9:00 PM.
