Linda Walls Canup

Celebration of life services are scheduled for 2 PM Wednesday, July 11, 2012 from Barrett Funeral Home Chapel for Mrs. Linda Walls Canup, age 68, of Sautee-Nacoochee. The Rev. Michael Wilkes, Rev. Mike Owens and Rev. Hardy Owen will officiate. Interment will follow in Mt. Pleasant United Methodist Church Cemetery.

Mrs. Canup passed away Sunday July 8, 2012 at Emory University Hospital following an extended illness.

Mrs. Canup was born on May, 31, 1944 in West Virginia to the late James and Laura Lockhart Walls. She was preceded in death by son, Tony Canup; brothers, Johnny Walls and Ralph Walls; and sister, Wanda Walls. Mrs. Canup was employed by State Farm Insurance Company and was a member of Center Baptist Church in Helen.

Survivors include husband, Lamar Canup, Sautee Nacoochee; son and daughter in law, Casey and Wendy Canup, Dawsonville; granddaughter, Kamrie Canup, Dawsonville; brothers, Bob Walls, Roderfield, WV, Frank Walls, Princeton WV, and Jim Walls, Max Meadows, Virginia; sister, Elizabeth Hanshaw, Princeton, WV; and several nieces and nephews and other relatives.

The family will receive friends from 4-8 PM Tuesday at the Funeral Home.
