Joyce Holcomb

Mrs. Joyce Odessa Holcomb, age 79 of Cleveland, passed away Sunday July 8, 2012 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center.

Mrs. Holcomb was born on September 9, 1932 in Cleveland to the late Charlie and Lela Dorsey Sosebee. She was preceded in death by husband, Jimmy Holcomb and sister, Hazel Dorsey. Mrs. Holcomb was a 1950 graduate of White County High School, of Perry Business School and worked for Pioneer RESA for many years. She was a member of Mossy Creek United Methodist Church.

Survivors include son and daughter in law, Lyn and Cheryl Holcomb, Cleveland; daughter and son in law, Donna and Keith Nordan, Cleveland; grandchildren, Mendi and Wesley Loggins, Cleveland; Happy and Carl Volle, Gainesville; Jay Holcomb, Cleveland; and Whitney and Brent Roberts, Cleveland; great-grandchildren, Skylar Loggins, Sawyer Loggins, Luke Volle, Alec Volle, Landen Roberts, and Hannah Roberts; brother, Bill Sosebee, Cleveland; and sister, Edith Dorsey, Cleveland.

Funeral services are scheduled for 12 Noon Wednesday, July 11, 2012 from Mossy Creek United Methodist Church. The Rev. Nanci Hicks will officiate. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 2-4 and 6-8 P.M. Tuesday at the funeral home.
