Raymond Michael Holmes

Raymond Michael Holmes, age 60 of Braselton, died July 4 after a courageous battle with cancer.

A memorial service will be held Wednesday, July 11 at 11:00 a.m. at Hamilton Mill Memorial Chapel. Rev. Danny Newbern will officiate.

The family will receive friends Tuesday, July 10 from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers the family request contributions be may to The American Cancer Society.

Mr. Holmes is survived by his wife Karen Holmes, Braselton; sons- and daughters-in-law, Michael and Monica Holmes, Atlanta and David and Courtney Holmes, Smyrna; daughter, Ashley Holmes, Suwanee; sisters, Karen Lombardi, Chevy Chase, MD; brother, Kevin Holmes, Harrisburg, PA;

Mr. Holmes was born in Hackensack, N.J. and lived in the metro Atlanta area the past 18 years. He was retired from Volvo after 25 years and was employed at Lanier High School.
