Okie Talmadge Phillips

Mr. Okie Talmadge Phillips, age 92, of Commerce, GA died Tuesday, July 03, 2012 at his residence. Mr. Phillips was born in Banks County to the late Joe Talmadge and Tempie Mae Hembree Phillips. He was a member of Nicholson Pentecostal Fire Baptized Holiness Church and was an automobile mechanic.

Mr. Phillips is survived by his wife, Lois Marie Gipson Phillips of Commerce; daughter, Ruby Heaton of Danielsville; sister, Mary Ann Loggins of Statham; 10 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be at 11 AM, Thursday, July 5 at the chapel of Little-Ward Funeral Home with Rev. Marty Smith officiating. Interment will follow in Howington Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday from 9 to 11 AM.
