Leroy Ramey

Funeral Services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Monday July 2, 2012 at Lebanon United Methodist Church for Mr. LeRoy Ramey age 81 of Gainesville. The Rev. Marshall Dale will officiate. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will received friends from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Mr. Ramey passed away Friday June 29 following an extended illness.

Mr. Ramey was born in Stephens County to the late Jordan J. Ramey and Ellen Burrell Ramey. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War and was member of Lebanon United Methodist Church. He worked a number of years for Hawkins Plumbing Company and was a Master Plumber and owner/operator of a plumbing and backhoe service. He was preceded in death by his Sons, Wendell Ramey and LeRoy Ramey Jr., Brothers, Clyde Ramey and Wilburn Ramey, Sisters, Alma Roberts and Louise Roberts.

Survivors include is Wife, Willene Buffington Ramey, Gainesville, Sons and Daughters-in-law, Wilfred and Pat Ramey, Gainesville, Wayne and Linda Ramey, Gillsville, Daughters and Sons-in-Law, Wanda and Donald Williams, Gillsville, Wendy and Chris Looney, Gillsville, Daughter-in-Law, Debra Ramey, Gainesville, Sister, Mary Hatcher, Gainesville, Grandchildren, Lee Ramey, Sabrina Cantrell, Chasity Brown, Dustin Gable, Grace Ramey and 7 Great Grandchildren.
