Morris Cana Frady

Funeral services for Morris Cana Frady, age 68, of Mt. Airy will be held at 3:00 PM on Saturday, June 30, 2012, from Antioch Baptist Church. Rev. Billy Burrell and Rev. David Harbin will officiate with interment to follow the service in the church cemetery.

Mr. Frady died on Thursday, June 28, 2012 at his residence.

Born on January 8, 1944 in Habersham County, Mr. Frady was the son of the late Cana and Girlie Dodd Frady. Mr. Frady was a self employed grading contractor and farmer. He was also a supervisor of the Upper Chattahoochee Soil and Water Conservation District. He was a director of Regions Bank and First Georgia Bank as well as a member of the Habersham County Chamber of Commerce. Mr. Frady was a , member, deacon, and Sunday school teacher at Antioch Baptist Church. In addition to his parents Mr. Frady is preceded in death by his sister Ruth Littleton Kirby.

Survivors include his wife of 47 years, Sandra Cotton Frady of Mt. Airy, daughter Sonya Frady of Demorest, son and daughter-in-law Tracy and Marie Frady of Mt. Airy, as well as three brothers and three sisters, grandchildren Ethan Morris Frady and wife Kayla, Salem Tracy Frady, and Mikaela Mara Tench, step-grandchildren Brooke, Dylan, and Mariah Nicholson.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday June 29, 2012 from 2:00-4:00 PM and 6:00-8:00 PM.
