Harold Lloyd Farr

Harold Lloyd Farr, Jr., age 69 of Braselton, passed away on Tuesday, June 19, 2012 at his residence following an extended illness.


Funeral services are scheduled for Thursday, June 21, 2012 at 1:00 pm in the Chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home with interment to follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. Reverend Jeff Benefield and Reverend Phil Carpenter will officiate. The family will receive friends on Thursday, June 21, 2012 from 10:30 am till 1:00 pm, prior to the service at the funeral home.


Mr. Farr was born March 11, 1943 in Norfolk, Virginia to the late Harold L. Farr, Sr. and Agnes Dunaway Farr. He served in the U.S. Air Force and was retired from General Service Administration as an IT Specialist. Harold was a member of Chestnut Mt. Baptist Church.


Mr. Farr is survived by his wife of 48 years of Braselton, son & daughter-in-law, Preston & Lynn Farr of Gainesville, grandsons, P. J. Farr of Braselton and Christopher Hand of Gainesville, granddaughter, Lena Hand of Gainesville, brother & sister-in-law, Tommy & Pam Farr of Gainesville, sisters-in-laws & brothers-in-laws, Laura & George Posey, Jo & Tony Stone and Althea & Jimmy Bleckley, all of Oakwood and a number of nieces and nephews.
