John Quinten Sapp

John Quinten Sapp, Jr., 79, of Sugar Hill, GA died at Embracing Hospice House on June 16, 2012. Born in Peoria, IL he was the son of the late John Quinton Sapp, Sr. and Leola Gardner Sapp. His beloved wife, Shirley Mae Benson Sapp died in 2004.

John and Shirley met at a dance in Callaway Gardens when he was stationed at Ft. Benning. He often told his family when he first saw Shirley, he knew "she was the one." They were married in 1954 and spent 50 years working and living together. John worked as a hotel bell captain, in the insurance business and finally he and Shirley ran an upholstery business from their home. In later years, they took their upholstery business on the road
