Angela Penelope Moore

Angela Penelope Moore, age 69 of Sautee, passed away Thursday, June 14, 2012 at her residence following an extended illness.

Angela was born in Bristol in the UK but lived most of her life in and around London. Angela was a certified Acupuncturist and Reflexology Therapist for more than 40 years having run clinics in London, Glasgow, Guernsey and Corfu. She moved with her husband, John from London to Atlanta in 1995 to further his career expecting to re-establish her practice but was shocked to find a health system more concerned with money than health and one that treated alternative medicine practitioners as fringe dwellers at best and criminals at worst. At the same time her politics changed from the right to the center when she saw that even a relatively short illness could financially destroy a family. Not to be deterred Angela built up a following first in Atlanta and later at the Garden of Wellness in Sautee where she was able to help many people with illnesses that had defied traditional medicine. Angela was a passionate believer in eating simpler foods, animal rights and preserving the environment and was ever willing to reach out to friends or strangers to alert them to the dangers of manufactured food and drugs.

Survivors include her husband John, daughter, Sara Spiers, Decatur; son, Jeremy Osborne-King., Indianapolis and Granddaughter Penelope Spiers

Funeral services are scheduled for 5:30 PM Saturday, June 16, 2012 at the Episcopal Church of the Ressurection in Cleveland, GA on Duncan's Bridge Road.

Interment will be Monday, June 18, 2012 at Honey Creek Woodlands in Conyers.

The family will receive friends at 1795 Panorama Drive Sautee Nacoochee immediately after the service.
