C.T. Bellamy

C.T. Bellamy, age 85, of Cornelia, Georgia, passed away on Tuesday, June 12, 2012.

Mr. Bellamy was born on March 28, 1927, in Banks County, Georgia; a son of the late Emmitt P. and Gladys McDuffie Bellamy. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Luerine Turner Bellamy; his brother, Roger Bellamy; and his sister, JoAnn Coker. Mr. Bellamy was a broom maker for the Habersham and Cornelia Broom Companies where he retired after more than 50 years of service. He was a member of the Nails Creek Baptist Church and an avid Atlanta Braves
fan. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. One of his greatest pleasures was his granddaughter, Kristen.

Survivors include his daughter and son-in-law, Elaine and Terry Burger, Cornelia, GA; sisters and brothers-in-law, Francine and Chandler Ward, Cornelia, GA, Shirley and Leon Wilkinson, Cornelia, GA, and Pat and Billy Trotter, Alto, GA; sister, Ruth Barrett, Alto, GA; brothers and sisters-in-law, James and Kathleen Bellamy, Baldwin, GA, Bob and Joyce Bellamy, Baldwin, GA, and Buck and Carolyn Bellamy, Mt. Airy, GA; brother-in-law and his wife, Omer Ray and Opal Coker, Alto, GA; sister-in-law, Evelyn Bellamy, Baldwin, GA; granddaughter and her husband, Kristen and Paul Cloud, Dahlonega, GA; special friends,
Harvey and Margie Adams, Clarkesville, GA; and caregiver, Annette Hix,Alto, GA.

Funeral services are scheduled for 11:30 a.m. on Thursday, June 14,2012, at Whitfield Funeral Home, South Chapel, Baldwin, Georgia, with Rev. Chris York officiating. Interment will follow in Yonah Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends from 6-9 p.m. on Wednesday, June 13, 2012, at the funeral home.
