Sara B. Jackson

Sara B. Jackson, age 83 of Buford, GA, passed away on Monday, June 11, 2012.

A funeral service will be held on Thursday, June 14, at 2PM at Hamilton Mill Memorial Chapel, Buford. Rev. Danny Newbern will officiate. Her body will be entombed in the mausoleum at Peachtree Memorial Park in Norcross, GA. Her family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday, June 13, from 5 PM until 8 PM. Flowers are welcome, or for those that wish, memorial contributions may be made to the Zion Hill Baptist Church Building Fund, located at 3390 South Puckett Rd., Buford, GA 30519.

Sara is survived by her daughter, Kim Dawson, Adairsville, GA; Son, Vince Jackson, Clemson, SC; Sister, Jane Marion, and Brother, Bill Browning, both of Bluefield, WV; 3 Grandchildren; and 2 Great Grandchildren. She was preceded in death by 1 grandchild. Sara was also survived by her special friend and caregiver of 6 years, Burma Henderson and her husband Hugh; Special friend and caregiver of 2 years, Virginia Brogdon; and special friend, Flossie Cofer.

Sara was born in Bluefield, WV, on August 15, 1928. She had retired from the insurance industry where she worked as an office manager for many years. She had lived in the Metro Atlanta area for the past 15 years and was a member of Zion Hill Baptist Church in Buford.
