Mrs. Bernice Williams, age 90, of Dahlonega, GA, passed away Saturday, June 9, 2012, at her home.
Mrs. Williams was an Alabama native who had lived in Lumpkin County since 1983. She was a former resident of Gainesville, GA. She was a homemaker and member of Mill Creek Baptist Church in Lumpkin County.
Bernice was the daughter of the late William and Alma Cato Thrasher and was also preceded in death by her husband, Amos Williams; brothers, J.G., George, and Harvey Thrasher; sisters, Odell Johnson and Rachel Phillips.
Bernice is survived by a brother, Artis Thrasher, Birmingham, AL; sister, Lessie Phillips, New York; special nephew, Danny Thrasher; extra special nephew, Hugh Lee Mann; nephews, Jerry Mann, Steve Mann, and Chris Runyan; nieces, Carolyn Runyan and Belinda Phillips. A large number of other relatives also survive.
Funeral services for Mrs. Williams are scheduled for 2 PM Tuesday, June 12, 2012, at the Banister Funeral Home in Dahlonega.
Rev. Lyman Caldwell will officiate.
Interment will follow in the Mill Creek Baptist Church Cemetery in Lumpkin County.
The family will receive friends at Banister Funeral Home in Dahlonega on Monday from 11 AM until 9 PM.
Banister Funeral Home of Dahlonega is in charge of the arrangements.
