Janet Lee Thurston

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, June 7, 2012 in the chapel of Little & Davenport Funeral Home, for Janet Lee Thurston, 78, of Gainesville. Rev. Danny Jones will officiate. Interment will be in Alta Vista Cemetery.

Born on April 8, 1934, in Lone Oak, GA she was the daughter of the late Zach and Frances Ponder Lee. She was a homemaker and a member of Northlake Baptist Church. She had lived in Gainesville for many years.

She is survived by her husband of 59 years, Van Thurston, Sr. of Gainesville; daughter, Lee Ann Harney of Gainesville; son Van Thurston, Jr. of Williamson, GA; grandchildren, Tate and Tyler Harney and Ike and Zach Thurston.

The family wishes that in lieu of flowers memorial donations be made to The Billy Graham Evangelistic Association, 1 Billy Graham Parkway Charlotte, NC 28201.
