Joe Reeves Poole
Obituary Date: Sunday, June 3, 2012
Mr. Joe Reeves Poole, age 85, of Toccoa, passed away Sunday, June 3, 2012 at Heritage Health Care of Toccoa.
Born January 18, 1927 in Stephens County, he was a son of the late Luther and Sally Ausburn Poole.
He was retired from Coats and Clark and was a U. S. Army WWII Veteran.
Family members include his son, Alfred Dean Poole; a sister, Leora Meeks; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Roberta Collins Poole; brothers and sisters; Swain Poole, Thelma Goode, Eloise Hallford, Ray Poole, Worth Poole and Opal Whitt.
Graveside services will be held at two o'clock Wednesday, June 6, 2012 at Stephens Memorial Gardens with the Rev. Phil Burgess officiating.
Burial will follow with Military Honors.
The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers, Dennis Gary, Tony Eller, Joe Collins, Tom Collins, Gary Simpson, and James Grafton.
The family will receive friends at the mortuary from 5pm - 8pm Tuesday, June 5, 2012.
