Thurmond Kerry "Pete" Sorrow

Mr. Thurmond Kerry "Pete" Sorrow, age 85, of Toccoa, passed away Saturday, June 2, 2012 at his home.

Born April 3, 1927 in Niece, GA, he was a son of the late Fortson and Theodosia Argo Sorrow.

He was a member of the Toccoa Christian Church and was a U. S. Navy Veteran. Pete was a photographer, owned and operated Southern Audio & Visual Center and was a Naval Pilot.

Family members include his daughter, Michelle Burns; and two great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Louise Holland Sorrow; a son, Michael Kerry Sorrow; and two grandsons, Robert Gregory Burns and Daniel Martin Burns.

Graveside services will be held at eleven o'clock Tuesday, June 5, 2012 at Roselane Cemetery with the Rev. Jewell Gaines officiating.

Burial will follow with Military Honors.

The family will receive friends at the mortuary from 9am until 10:30am Tuesday.

Flowers are optional. Those desiring may make memorials to the Wounded Soldiers Fund.
