Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday June 4, 2012, in the chapel of Little & Davenport Funeral Home for Susan Maria Sanders Nicholson, 56, of Gainesville. Pastor Randall Popham will officiate. Interment will be in Belton Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Little & Davenport Funeral Home on Sunday, June 3, 2012 from 1:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m.
Born on January 6, 1956 in Gainesville, GA she was the daughter of Genevieve "G" Garrison Sanders and the late Ralph "Pop" Sanders. A graduate of Lanier Technical Nursing Program, and was a nurse at Gainesville Health care. She was a member of Central Baptist Church and had recently attended Free Chapel.
She was also preceded in death by her sister, Wanda Turner.
She is survived by her husband, Jack Ross of Flowery Branch; sons and daughters-in-law, Jamie and Donna Compton of Lula, Josh and Mandy Nicholson of Southside, AL, Jon and Angela Nicholson of Gainesville; mother, Genevieve "G" Sanders of Lula; sister and brother-in-law, Sherron and Joseph Natividad of Lula; sister, Sandy Berry of Gainesville, sister and brother-in-law, Shelly and Mark Turner of Gainesville; brother, Ken Taylor of St. Cloud, FL; grandchildren, Erin Compton, Braxton and Brenton Nicholson, Destin Godwin, Jayme Godwin, Justin Nicholson, Jenson Nicholson and several nieces and nephews.
