Betty Joan Peacock Crenshaw

Mrs. Betty Joan Peacock Crenshaw, age 73, of Toccoa, passed away Sunday, May 27, 2012 at Stephens County Hospital.

Born September 9, 1938 in Water Valley Mississippi, she was a daughter of the late Alger and Mary Gaines Peacock. She was preceded in death by her husband, Theodore Ansel Crenshaw.

She was of the Baptist Faith and was a homemaker. Mrs. Crenshaw was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.

Family members include two sons and a daughter-in-law, Perry and Martha Crenshaw and Chris Crenshaw; daughters and sons-in-law, Melinda Wilmot, Melanie and Web Webster, and Ruby and Ray Powell; sister, Debby Ross; brother, Jerry Peacock; ten grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at two o'clock Tuesday, May 29, 2012 at the Whitlock Mortuary Chapel with the Rev. Jewell Gaines officiating.

Burial will follow at Roselane Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the mortuary from 12 noon until the funeral hour on Tuesday.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, GA Chapter, North GA Regional Office, 922 East Morris Street, Dalton, GA 30721.
