Mrs. Jeanette "Net" Whitmire, 71 of Gainesville died Friday May 25, 2012 at her residence following a battle with cancer.
Born and rasied in Hall County, Mrs. Whitmire was the daughter of the late Onar Smith Graham and Joe Newton Smith. Mrs. Whitmire was a retired hairdresser after 40 years. She was of the baptist faith.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday May 27, 2012 in the Little & Davenport Funeral Home Chapel. The Rev. Danny Newbern will officiate. Interment will be in the South Bend United Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Saturday May 26, 2012 from 3-5 p.m. and 7-9 p.m.
Survivors include her husband, Emory Irvin "E.I." Whitmire, Gainesville; daughter, Dana Gaboury, Gainesville; son and daughter-in-law, Teddy and Pam Whitmire, Jefferson, Ga; son, Fletcher Whitmire, Gainesville; sister and brother-in-law, Imogene and S.C. Stowers, Gainesville; Three grandchildren, Brandi Roberts, Jason Whitmire and Cory Walker and 5 great grandchildren. Special caretaker, Nell Parr, Gainesville.
Mrs. Whitmire is preceded in death by her parents, brothers, Cecil Smith and J.W. Smith and sisters, Polly Rogers and Mary Nell Hawkins.
