Funeral Services are scheduled for 11:00 a.m. Thursday May 24, 2012 at Corinth Baptist Church for Mr. Roy Farr age 96 of Gainesville. The Rev. Henry Loggins will officiate. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday May 23, at the funeral home. Mr. Farr passed away Monday May 21, 2012.
Mr. Farr was born in Gainesville to the late Walter Farr and Mary Haynes Farr. He served in the U.S. Army during WWII. He was a 5th Grade Technician with the 113th Engineer Battalion serving in New Guinea, Southern Philippines and Luzon. He was a member of the Corinth Baptist Church and the Willing Workers Sunday School Class. He was preceded death by his Wife Ruby Elrod Farr and Brother Ralph Farr.
Survivors include Sister-in-Laws, Thelma Elrod Little, Gainesville, Wilma Elrod Caphton, Savannah and numerous family members.
