Harris "Dink" Elrod

Evans Funeral Home announces the death of Mr. Harris Denver "Dink" Elrod, age 71, of Talmo, who passed away on Saturday, May 19, 2012. Mr.

Elrod was born in Pendergrass, GA, a son to the late Clyde Harrison Elrod and the late Sadie Oliver Elrod. Mr. Elrod was retired owner of Elrod Builders and was a member of the Pond Fork Baptist Church.

Mr. Elrod was a veteran of the US Marine Corps. Mr. Elrod's son, Donald Harris Elrod, sister, Jennie Gee and brothers, Pete and Herbie Elrod, all preceded him in death.

Survivors include his wife, Martha Jean Haynes Elrod, Talmo, sons, Clyde H. (Deborah) Elrod, Athens, Casey A. (Blaire) Elrod, Gainesville, daughters, Sondra Renee (Joe) Davis, Hoschton, Michelle (Anthony) Gaddis, Braselton, sister, Mary Helen Livsey, Grayson, 11 Grandchildren, 4 Great Grandchildren.

Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, May 22, 2012 at 2PM in the Chapel of Evans Funeral Home with Rev. Larry Elrod and Rev. Johnny Knight officiating. The visitation will be held on Monday from 2-4 and 7-9pm at Evans Funeral Home. Flowers are optional with memorials made to the Pond Fork Baptist Church c/o Johnny Knight, 104 Gordon Rd., Commerce, GA 30530.
