Joanne Carol Fowler

Joanne Carol Fowler, 73, of Dahlonega, GA died on May 12, 2012 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center. Born in San Diego, CA she was the daughter of the late Ole and Elizabeth Jensen.

Joanne married Jack Fowler in 1961 in Gulfport, MS. She became known as "Mar" in 1991 when her first grandchild started calling her by this name because she played Mario Brothers with him on Super Nintendo. A few years later her granddaughter began calling her "Mari" and the next two granddaughters called her "Mara"
