Estelle Pritchett Whitfield

Mrs. Estelle Pritchett Whitfield, 92 of Chicopee died Sunday May 13, 2012 at her residence.

Born in Banks County, Mrs. Whitfield had lived in Hall County for most of her life. She was the daughter of the late Will F. and Callie Nunn Pritchett. Mrs. Whitfield was retired from J.C. Penney Company after 40 years of service. She was an active member of Chicopee Baptist Church for 59 years where she taught Sunday School and Youth programs for many years.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday May 16, 2012 in the Little & Davenport Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Phil Parks, Rev. Phil Carpenter and Rev. Darin Vogt will officiate. Interment will follow in the Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday May 15, 2012 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m.

Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law; William and Susan Whitfield and granddaughter Elizabeth of Evergreen, Colorado; daughter-in-law; Lori Orr Whitfield and grandchildren, Megan and Craig of Flowery Branch; sister, Rosa Lee Parker of Oakwood. A number of nieces, nephews, in-laws and other relatives also survive.

Mrs. Whitfield is preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Jessie Wilton Whitfield, son, Eddie Ira Whitfield, brothers, Elzie, J.D., Pierce, Charlie, and Bernice, sisters, Vertie Webb, Oulia Sheridan, Wilma Sisk and Minnie Hooper.
