Winford Jake Mills

Mr. Winford Jake Mills, age 72, of Dawsonville, GA died Friday May 11, 2012, at Gold City Convalescent Center in Dahlonega, GA.

Mr. Mills was born January 17, 1940 in Cumming, GA. He was a U.S. Army veteran.

He was the son of the late Jewell Jake Mills and Lorene Martin Mills and was also preceded in death by brothers, Glyndon Mills and Gene Mills.

He is survived by brothers and sister-in-law, Roger and Melissa Mills, Dawsonville, GA, Gerald Mills, Gainesville, GA; sister and brother-in-law, Charlene and James Moon, Gainesville, GA. 10 nieces and nephews and numerous other relatives also survive.

A graveside funeral service is scheduled for 4 PM Monday, May 14, 2012 at the Antioch Baptist Church Cemetery in Lumpkin County with Rev. J.R. Fields officiating.

Military honors will be provided by the Veterans Alliance Honor Guard.

The family will receive friends at Banister Funeral Home in Dahlonega on Sunday from 6 PM until 9 PM and on Monday until the service time.
