James "Willard" Carlan

James "Willard" Carlan, age 80 of New Holland, passed away on Sunday, May 6, 2012 at Willowood Nursing Home following an extended illness.


Graveside services are scheduled for Thursday, May 10, 2012 at 2:00 pm in Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Thursday, May 10, 2012 from 12:00 noon till 2:00 pm, prior to the service at the funeral home.


Mr. Carlan was born May 22, 1931 in New Holland, Georgia to the late William Hoyt Carlan and Mamie Chambers Carlan. He retired from the U. S. Air Force. Willard was preceded in death by his parents, his daughter, Shelia Carlan and sons, Tony Carlan and Kenneth Carlan.


Mr. Carlan is survived by his daughter & son-in-law, Gayle & Eddie Rogers of Allen, Texas, son, Douglas Carlan of New Holland, sister & brother-in-law, Tensie & Hoyt Parks of Gainesville and 2 grandchildren.
