James Charles "J.C." White

James Charles "J.C." White, age 88 of Gainesville, passed away on Sunday, May 6, 2012 at Bell Minor Nursing Home following an extended illness..

Funeral services are scheduled for Wednesday, May 9, 2012 at 11:00 am in the Chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home with interment to follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. Reverend Grady White and Reverend Willard Fuller will officiate. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, May 8, 2012 from 6 -9 pm at the funeral home.


Mr. White was born April 10, 1924 to the late James Ervin White and Dovie Elrod White. He was retired as the owner/operator of White Tree Service for 51 years and was a member of Fairview Baptist Church. J.C. was preceded in death by his parents, one of his brothers, Ray White, one of his sisters, Mildred Morrison, grand-son, Jamie Fowler and special son-in-law, Glenn Fowler.


Mr. White is survived by his wife of 59 years, Virginia Clark White of Gainesville, daughters, Judy Gooch & husband, Bradley Gooch of Lula and Sandi White of Gainesville, son, Conley White of Boynton Beach, Florida, grandchildren, Mandy & Stephen Barnes, Chelsea Abercrombie, Calista Abercrombie, Adam White, Tyler White and Lisa McCarville, 3 great-grandchildren, sisters, Jimmie Lee Wilson of Clermont and Alma Clark of Maysville, brothers & sisters-in-laws, Reverend Grady & Velina White of Gainesville and Frank & Flossie White of Gainesville, brother, Stanley White of Gainesville.
