James Thomas "Jim" McCord, Jr.

James Thomas "Jim" McCord, Jr., age 60 of Sandy Springs, GA died suddenly Thursday, May 3, 2012.

Mr. McCord has been cremated and a memorial service will be held Thursday, May 10, 2012 at 1:00 PM at Hamilton Mill Memorial Chapel. The family will receive friends following the service at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to the Humane Society.

Jim is survived by his Daughter, Shelley McCord Hall, Loganville, GA. Son, Donald McCord, Woodstock, GA. Fiancé, Patricia Reeder, Sandy Springs, GA. Grandchildren, Corey Hall, Jaycee Hall and Kaylee Hall. Step Daughter, Nikki Scott, Cumming, GA. Step Son, Tony Scott, Sandy Springs, GA. Brothers, Tommy McCord, Smyrna, GA and Timothy McCord, Fulshear, TX. Sister, Jenny Crowe, Ringgold, GA.

Jim was a native of Chattanooga, TN and had lived in the Atlanta area the past 20 years. He was self-employed as a painter.
