Joan Marie Parks

Joan Marie Parks, age 68 of Cumming, passed away Wednesday, May 2, 2012.

She died from complications of diabetes. Joan was born August 8, 1943 in Chicago to Gene and Mary Vandelli Ala. She married Thomas M. Parks on August 31, 1963. She was preceded in death by her mother, father and sister, Jean K. Grassino of Frontenac, KS.

Survivors include her two loving daughters and their spouses, Brigid L. and Anthony Savage of Cumming and Gina M. and Michael Golda of Prairieville, LA and three cherished grandchildren, Hannah Savage, Sarah and Laura Golda. She is also survived by her dearest brother, James Ala and his wife Florence of Cumming and several nieces and nephews.


She was cremated at Ingram Funeral Home and Crematory.
